Community Ambassadors Programme

Boost our profile and make an impact!

Volunteer Ambassadors help to raise awareness of our charity by attending events to talk about our work and encourage others to get involved in fundraising activity, giving donations, or maybe considering corporate sponsorship. Volunteers must have an interest in the NHS and West Herts and the enthusiasm to share it with others. There is no fixed time commitment, but there are a number of ways volunteers can help.

The role could include the following:

  • Assist with sharing our appeals and event promotion with your contacts to raise awareness of the charity.
  • Delivering talks to local community groups, schools, faith groups, Rotary Clubs, Round Tables, Women’s Institute groups about the work of the charity and the ways in which they could help us.
  • Organise local collections at supermarkets, garden centres, shopping centres.
  • Look after our information and fundraising stands at local events.
  • Use social media by sharing information about the charity to contribute to our online presence.
  • Encourage practices and businesses to support us through joining our Corporate Partner programme.
  • Place materials related to specific appeals/events or liaise with local businesses to find opportunities to place information and collection tins.
  • Organise fundraising events, if this sparks your interest.

When you join as an ambassador you can expect:
