Advanced training technology that enables clinical teams to practise complex neonatal and paediatric ultrasound scans in a safe, simulated environment, enhancing skills and ensuring the best possible care for tiny patients.
…provide a MRI Entertainment system to keep children calm during scans
Audiovisual distraction technology designed to help children feel relaxed and entertained during long, noisy MRI scans. By reducing fear and anxiety, this system helps minimise the need for sedation.
…enhance the Urgent Treatment Centre at Watford General Hospital
Introduce new sensory equipment and play elements to the paediatric area at the Urgent Treatment Centre, creating a welcoming and calming space that puts young patients and families at ease during emergency visits.
…provide sensory resources, toys, and therapeutic distraction
Supply books, toys, games, sensory equipment, and distraction tools that improve patient experiences during treatment, procedures, and inpatient stays.
Simulation allows our team to rehearse those exact situations, so that when they arrive, the skill is already there. The BabyWorks Ultrasound Simulator will give our clinicians that opportunity, and we are grateful for every contribution that makes it possible.”
