By day, Abigail and Jordan Smith are physiotherapists helping patients recover and regain strength across West Herts Hospitals. However, on Saturday 11 July 2026, the daring duo took their dedication to new heights by jumping out of an aeroplane for West Herts Hospitals Charity!
Taking the Leap for Patient Care
Abi and Jordan took on the skydive challenge to raise vital funds to support our Caring for Generations appeal.
The funds raised help support the latest technology to enhance treatment, improvements to hospital environments, staff development opportunities, and extra comforts that make a difference to patients and their families, above and beyond what the NHS can fund alone.
Impressive Fundraising Results
Thanks to the incredible support from colleagues, friends, and family, Abi and Jordan have raised a fantastic total of over £1,250 including Gift Aid.
Reflecting on the incredible jump, Abi shared:
“Me and Jordan LOVED it!”
Alison Rosen, Chief Executive Officer of West Herts Hospitals Charity, said:
“We are grateful to Abi and Jordan for taking on such an incredible challenge. Their bravery in jumping out of an aeroplane to support our hospitals shows the wonderful dedication of our staff, both on and off the wards. The money raised will make a real difference across Watford General, Hemel Hempstead, and St Albans City Hospitals, helping us fund vital equipment and enhancements that go above and beyond standard NHS provision. Huge congratulations and thank you to them both!”
