We’ve officially launched our ‘Christmas Smiles’ appeal, aimed at bringing festive joy to every patient spending Christmas in West Herts Hospitals.
It’s incredibly tough for patients who are away from home and family during the holidays. The aim of this appeal is to ensure every patient feels the magic of Christmas by collecting donations of gifts to help put a smile on their face during their hospital stay.

Donation guidelines
Drop-off location and time:
- Gifts should be dropped off to our hospital charity office at Sycamore House, Watford General between 9am – 3pm Monday to Friday only. We can accept up until Monday 8 December.
Safety Requirements:
- Anything for children (aged1 to 16) which can be toys, activity sets, or journals and nice toiletry sets for the older children, please note all toys should carry a CE mark or (UK equivalent) and be in original packaging.
- Please note we are unable to accept anything pre-loved due to infection control.
For our adult patients
- Nice toiletry sets work best. Any food gifts must be completely nut-free.
